What a week! I am so overworked and far behind I haven’t had time to stitch in the last 5-6 days!
Had some good news come in which has taken up most of my time for the past few days. And of course, like I mentioned last week I took on a bunch of projects and overbooked myself once again. Which is cool, since they are pretty cool projects!
It’s snowing once again here. Wasn’t the foot we got on Thursday enough
Had to get my twelve year old a new pair of boots today. I can’t believe he is a size 11! My husband is only a size 10.5 or 11. He’s going to be TALL. Poor kid. He had his Valentine’s Day dance on Friday and I got a text saying he was having an issue with his tooth about 30 minutes into it. So I go into the school and his tooth had fallen out! Poor kid. The rest of the family trudged across the street to eat dinner and about 20 minutes later I got a call that the poor kid had thrown up! What a bad time. He took it all in stride though. He was ok! Poor, poor Mason.
Anyway, last time I got to stitch was Sunday or Monday of last week! I did get the February block completed, and finally received my DMC light effect white thread for the snow on the Jan block. I was trying to work on that when I gave up because that awful thread kept fraying, and wouldn’t thread onto the needle and I just gave up. I did manage to get some Thread Heaven finally, so when I finally get to work on it either tomorrow or tonight I will be able work properly! I also finally got myself a needle minder. What a lifesaver. Now I just need to teach my fat cat he can’t sleep on my WIPs!! Even if I leave them in the frame, he will sleep on the floor next to the frame with his back all over the fabric. GRRR.
Me and the husband are SO excited right now since our Walking Dead returns tonight!! It feels like we have been waiting forever! Because we have! Haha! I’m still waiting for my Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy to return. What the heck!? Never have network shows taken such long breaks before 😐 I can’t even remember where we left off! Good thing I found a replacement show to watch in the meantime. I just got introduced to Game of Thrones. What an amazing show! I’m too obsessed.
The 2014 AAN Halloween Town Mystery SAL finally started (we got the pattern on Friday) – but while I have my threads on bobbins and ready to go I still haven’t gotten my fabric yet! I do have a suitable piece to use, but I am going to wait until the fabric I ordered from Steph’s Fabrics arrives (shipped on Thurs, so should be here any time!)
Anyway, tomorrow I am starting a personal challenge to get on the elliptical for at least 20-30 minutes each morning to get in better shape in general, but especially before we head down to Florida this spring. It seems like it is so far away, but in reality it’ll be here before we even know it.
Anyway, let me get off this thing so I can get to stitching while watching The Walking Dead and before I get too tired! I’ll have to do my photo updates tomorrow or sometime during this week!
